    so, i have a bit of an issue. the only way i could find to get into contact with you was to start a free account. my grandfather recently started a blog with wordpress, but he doesn’t really understand how things work online. he seems to have misplaced both his username and password. im having a difficult time getting things reset and reclaimed as a result. on his bank statement i can see a charge from Hostgator.com, which seems to be a domain name host that you are in business with, to the tune of about 190 dollars. can you advise on my situation?

    The site I need help with is [visible only to staff] (email visible only to moderators and staff).

    The site you are referring to appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on Hostgator Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.

    To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and other hosting companies also happen to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here.
