Need to remove sites and close our account

    We need to close our account with wordpress.com. We have two sites – backups (export files) of both sites are archived. I followed the ‘Close Account’ link but could not delete the sites and close this account. Please let me know what we need to do to proceed with account closure.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi there!

    For you to be able to close the account, we will need to revert your site to the state it was before you uploaded the first plugin.
    You will likely lose all content added afterward, but I guess you don’t mind that since you’re looking to close the account, and you mentioned having backups.
    Could you please confirm you are okay with that?

    Hi Fresatomica,

    Sorry, I didn’t realize that you replied to my inquiry on the same day (I’m new to wordpress.com). Yes, it’s ok to revert those two websites we have on our account to be reverted back to the state that needs to be set for sites and account deletion.

    I have reverted the site as requested, and you can now close your account by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/
