Need to setup a new user for the user

  I am using Word Press’ hosting to play with a blog to see how it works. If it works for me I will load it on a qualified hosting service and take it form there. In the WP hosted version to setup a user the must respond to an email and Word Press seems to want everyone to get their own bog. It is almost difficult to avoid it. When I want to add users to my blog, I don’t want Word Press to be recruiting the get a blog from them. Will this all go away when I put my own software on my own server?

  Great. When on my own server, will it send an email to a user asking them to sign up or do I just sign them up? Basically, how will it work?

  I have no idea: you’ll have to ask over on WordPress.ORG, which is set up to serve the independently-hosted blogs using WordPress software. A WordPress.COM user registration is not simply transferable to an independent blog.
