Need to switch domain from one wp blog to another.

  I have two blogs;
  * alexaltair.wordpress.com
  * mysomethingtoprotect.wordpress.com

  I registered the domain name somethingtoprotect.com through WP, but accidentally did so under alexaltair.wordpress.com. I don’t think it’s a natural action to switch the domain over; could any of the admins help?

  I just moved your domain name somethingtoprotect.com over to mysomethingtoprotect.wordpress.com. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

  In the future, you can also move domains or other upgrades from one site to another on your My Upgrades page.

  I’m having another problem that I think might be related. I bought another domain, namelessvirtue.com. When I try to change the primary domain from somethingtoprotect.com to namelessvirtue.com, it simply throws and error saying “There was an error when updating the primary domain.” Is this maybe a data validation problem caused by adding the other domain manually?

  Hi Alex,

  I just switched the primary domain to namelessvirtue.com and it worked, so you may have run into a temporary glitch when you tried to do that. (Sorry for the trouble!) The primary domain on that site is now namelessvirtue.com.

  Let me know if I can do anything more to help!
