Need to verify account email change from address that no longer exists.

  Hi there,

  I wish to change my account email address as the one I used to set up my account no longer exists. As a result I cannot receive the verification email.

  I do have my back-up email. Is there a way it can send verification to this address?

  Are you able to update the email address on your Account Settings page?:

  https://wordpress.com/me/account

  Once it has been updated there, you will receive a confirmation email for that email address.

  Let me know how you get on.
