new business website – domain question

  I would like to name my site but wordpress seems to demand I point the domain to the new site….need temp name until built and then will then point to wordpress site.

  Hi there, if you created a site at the same time you signed up for an account, that is your “temporary” site name.

  You can also keep your site out of search engines and public view by making your site Private, if it isn’t already. Here’s how you can do that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  Once you are ready to launch, you can then map the domain you own by purchasing at least a Personal upgrade plan. https://wordpress.com/pricing/
