New custom Domain and blog routing issues

  I bought a new custom domain (aandcostudio.com), but wordpress is routing it to an exiting domain (anadavisdesign.com). I want the new domain to be a different blog with it’s own web address. How do I change this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  If you already have the other blog set up, you can transfer your new custom domain to that blog by following the instructions here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#transferring-upgrades

  If the new blog isn’t set up yet, you can create it by logging in to WordPress.com account and going to this link:

  https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/

  I went through the sign-up page and it is telling me that the “domain has already been mapped to a wordpress.com blog”. The domain the is listed as the primary domain is “http://aandcostudiodotcom1.wordpress.com” which seems like a typo or something.

  I don’t know why I am having these issues. I just set up a different custom domain for a blog (anadavisltd.com) and had zero problems…

  On my Upgrades page, it lists anadavisltd.com separate, but has anadavisdesign.com and aandcostudio.com grouped together. These should be three distinct web pages/blogs.

  Hi there,

  Your domains aandcostudio.com and anadavisdesign.com are currently linked to the same blog. You can manage these upgrades under Store > My Upgrades on your dashboard here:

  https://anadavisdesign.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades

  To move the domain aandcostudio.com to a different blog on your account, you can go to that link and click on “Transfer to another site” next to the domain name. You can then select the blog that you want to link to that domain name. We have additional instructions for doing that here:

  You have several blogs on your account right now, but if you let me know which blog you want to connect with your custom domain aandcostudio.com I would be happy to help you move it to the correct blog.

  I finally got the domain transferred, but at the moment if I type aandcostudio.com into the URL, wordpress is still forwarding it to anadavisdesign.com. Will it just take some time to go to it’s own domain?

  BTW, I was having issues with my internet connection earlier, which made this whole process more confusing.

  You’re all set now! It can take 48-72 for domain changes like this to take effect everywhere, but it’s all set up correctly — on my end, when I visit aandcostudio.com it goes to the right blog. :)
