New domain on different host.

    I just registered a new domain name with VEEROTECH. I would like to use WordPress to build my new site. I am a complete newbie with ALL of this. Do I need to use WordPress from within VEEROTECH’s site, or can I build my WordPress site and upload/connect it to VEEROTECH? What is mapping, & will I need to do that? There are so many unfamiliar terms & acronyms in VEEROTECH, I don’t know what they are talking about, & I watched many of their YouTube videos.

    Hi there,

    In order to use your domain hosted elsewhere with your WordPress.com site, you’ll need to change the domain nameservers at your domain host, and point them over to WordPress.com. Our nameservers are:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    Then, you’ll need to purchase the mapping subscription upgrade so that you can map your domain over to your WordPress.com site.
