New domain redirects to old one that I already cancelled

I cancelled my old domain name and purchased new. However any time I am trying to open my website using a new domain, it is redirected to the old one which had expired and which I cancelled. I basically can’t use my new domain because of that. I am not sure why this happens and how can I fix it?

My domain has expired and I want to cancel the domain. I already chose the option to cancel the domain “zolotovaportraitstudio.com” but the domain is still linked to the website zolotovaportraitstudio.wordpress.com. How can I change that so my website is still visible? A notification keeps popping up saying “Uh oh! Your blog’s domain zolotovaportraitstudio.com expired 10 days ago!” whenever I type the domain “zolotovart.com” and it won’t allow visitors to view the website. I switched the wordpress blog to the domain “zolotovart.com” and it still shows the popup.
The blog I need help with is zolotovart.com.

Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain zolotovaportraitstudio.com it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using zolotovaportraitstudio.com again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.
Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.
