  Hi @douglasschneider2302, you’ve ended up in the forums for the free sites hosted by WordPress.com, but I think I can point you in the right direction:

  Yes, you’d buy a new domain, park it on the site, and update the URL like this:
  https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-the-site-url/

  Your host can likely help with that if needed.

  Then, you may need to reconnect plugins (like Jetpack) or update any likenesses you’re using, too. And that should give you the new address. You can then ask your host for help adding a redirect if that’s needed.
