new email
-
I no longer have the email that is listed on my site and though I have tried to change it to the new one, I am supposed to confirm the change without getting any message on the old (before it was discontinued) or the new address. How do I get this changed now?

Hi there,
The confirmation message to change your email is sent to the new address you specify.
We do also send an email to the old address, but that’s just a notice of the email change, and doesn’t contain any confirmation link.

That said, I don’t see any email address change requests for the account you’re using to post here. Did you change the email address at https://wordpress.com/me/account/, or somewhere else?

It was on my site. When I log in it asked me to update. I told it to and it sent me to the settings section. I made the change and it said that it needed to be confirmed, but I got nothing to make that confirmation with. I will try going to the link you gave and see if that will do it.
Thank you.

Opps, that is not the email I need to change. It is the one associated with the site itself, not WordPress. Any ideas would be helpful.

None of those sites are hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. The sites themselves are connected to your WordPress.com account via the Jetpack plug, but your admin accounts on those sites themselves are something completely different from your WordPress.com username account, and we don’t control the login credentials for those admin accounts.
Please ask the WordPress.org community for advice instead. They provide support for the version of WordPress you’re using on those sites, and should be able to advise you on what to do if you don’t receive the email confirmation links:
