New here: will my name or email address be kept private when I start blogging?

  I am worried that my name or my email address will appear in google searches that are related to my blog. This would be a problem for my professional reputation.

  Your WordPress.com username will appear, but your email address will not. Unless you have used your real name for any WordPress.com information, it will not appear either.
