  How do I clean up everything in the past and start new?

  As long as you only mean blog posts and not things like previous marriages and such, it’s easy. Go to the dashboard Posts page and by using the bulk editor, select all, delete, until they’re all gone. Do the same thing on the Pages page. Remove all the widgets from the sidebar areas.
