New theme

    Hello everyone,
    I already have a homepage with WordPress and a domain. But now I would like to create a new theme and would like to finish creating a homepage before I link it to my domain and make it visible. I wanted to register with WordPress again, but then I always have to enter my domain and that only works if I use a paid version of WordPress. Is it possible that I load the new theme onto my existing homepage, then design the theme the way I want it and only then make it visible, or will that slow down my current homepage or even affect it in such a way that payment transactions can no longer be completed?

    Please help someone help, I’m so lost at the moment.

    What is the URL of the site you’re working with?
