New to wordpress

  I have a current business website, which is looking dated. I am thinking of setting up a wordpress business website but would like to see whether I am able to before having to pay the yearly fee. The theme(s) I like are not free, but are included in the business plan. I want to know how simple it will be for me to set the new site up? I am likely to want to do it from scratch….I would like to play around with a few themes to see which one looks best, but how can I do this? I don’t want to map my url if I end up not using wordpress but a webdesign company?

  We have some information about what is included in the Business plan on WordPress.com:

  We offer a number of free themes in our showcase and the Business plan also includes unlimited access to premium themes (at no extra cost).

  I would like to play around with a few themes to see which one looks best, but how can I do this?

  Third party themes can only be used on WordPress.com sites with the Business plan so you would need to upgrade before they can be used. Theme creators often create demo sites to give you a feel for how themes work and can be setup.

  I want to know how simple it will be for me to set the new site up?

  Custom themes and plugins are only compatible with WordPress.com sites using a custom domain. But you are welcome to create a free site for now, start adding content and uploading media to see whether you want to continue building a site here.
