I have taken it upon myself to create a website for the company i currently work for. I have a background in graphic design, and an above average experience with computers and different softwares.
The issue i have now is that i struggle to make anything in the free trial plan. And i expected to be able to have free reins so that i could know before i made my company pay for everything, wether or not i would be able to create a worthy site.
At this point i can’t even manage to move a simple logo to a different location. And i have issues understanding the user interface.
I expected to have a bigger advantage comming from the Adobe suite and having been working with computers and software my whole life.
Do i have to go all out and get business subscription and so on, to be able to make a simple mockup?

The logo space is built in to the theme. It’s not possible to customize the theme in a way to move that logo on the free plan. We might be able to come up with a different solution though. Please share more details about where/how you want that to appear on the site.

Not at all. While there are limitations with customization on free sites, I’d suggest sticking with that if the point is just to create a mock up example. No point in paying money for what can be done for free. Then, if you decide to proceed on WordPress.com go ahead and upgrade the plan.
