I’ve invited a new user but they haven’t received an invitation. It’s not in the junk mail folder either. I’ve also tried to resend the invitation.

Can you please tell me the username or email address of the user you invited? I can use that to investigate the issue on my end. :)

I invited (email visible only to moderators and staff) and they didn’t get an email. I also invited (email visible only to moderators and staff). They clicked accept in the email but it’s still showing as ‘waiting’ in the back end.

I looked up the first email address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)), and we sent two invitation emails to that address today. The emails were accepted by their email provider — if they aren’t in the junk/spam folder, they may need to contact the email provider to find out what happened to those emails.
I also checked the second email address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) and I don’t see a WordPress.com account linked to that address. That person will need to create a new WordPress.com account first:
https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1
Then, they can click the “Accept Invitation” button in the email to be added to the site.
