New User Registration on website

  I keep getting emails informing of new users to the website. I am not sure if I should contact these potential clients of what this even means.
  Please advise.

  Hi there,

  On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.

  If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, please ask for help at https://wordpress.org/support/forums instead.

  You likely have the setting enabled for that version of WordPress to allow guest signups on your site. You should be able to disable that option at WP-Admin ->Settings ->General.
