  It said l could have a domain name for free, later it asked me to choose a domain and when l chose the name that was free, it is not free.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi sueluchich,

  We provide the option to register a free address containing “.wordpress.com”. However custom domains are only available through paid plans, so it sounds like this is why you are being asked to pay.

  Free versions of the address should be listed under the two featured custom domains (underneath the search).
