New Website Using URL So How The Heck Do I Access My Old WordPress????
-
I own the URL condosonwilshire.com
This site used to be a WordPress site until very recently.
We hired a web design company to design us a beautiful new site that is now connected to that URL.
So HOW do I access and view the old WordPress? I specifically asked the web design company if the old WordPress would still be accessible and revert back to its old name and they said yes but now that it’s done they can’t seem to help. I was able to log in but the site can’t be accessed. I’m getting increasingly aggravated and this seems so much more complicated than it should be.
condosonwilshire.wordpress.com does not work. condosonwilshire.com/wp-admin does not work. (Obviously because this URL is now a new site!!)
I have no idea how to get back to the generic WordPress URL given when you first make a website and none of these forum questions are helpful.
I’ve taken screenshots but I don’t know how to include them in this post either.
When I go to my hosting’s cPanel, I can find the website and click on the dropdown menu of possible URLs and I tried to change it to http://160.153.62.163/~moz3qfgq4opw and get an error message. The only other dropdown options are all CondosOnWilshire.com or MauriceRustad.com which obviously I don’t want.
Is this clear? I literally just want the old WordPress site to go back to the old generic WordPress URL AND IT WON’T.
Do I click Remove from Installatron? How do I get rid of the forwarding?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We have no record of that domain being registered or hosted here, so it would have been a site using the WordPress.org software hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.

Two entirely separate entities with the exact same logo?
Anyway, I tried my wp-admin logins on WordPress.org and they didn’t work there either. Both sites claim I have the wrong password or that an account doesn’t exist with that email.
We had two WordPress sites, CondosOnWilshire.com and ListingSantaMonica.com, that the company Luxury Presence has redone for us. I gave them access to both along with our GoDaddy account. There was some text that didn’t copied over which is why I want to access the old one.
At this point, I don’t know how else to cease the redirect except to have LP take our new sites offline so that I can hopefully once again login to the WordPress sites and delete the redirect. Then we would go live again with the new sites and hopefully the old sites would be back to blahblah.wordpress.com
Does this sound like the correct plan of action?

Hi there,
Because the “old site” was hosted with GoDaddy, the support team there is in the best position to help you. My advice would be to explain the situation to them, and ask if a temporary or “staging” address of some kind can be affixed to the previous site to allow you to access it.
Because we’re not connected with GoDaddy this is not something we can help with but since it’s hosted on their infrastructure they would be in the best position to help.
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
