New .wordpress.com blog, re-addressed to domain I own

  I’ve got my new blog (eclecticensemble2.wordpress.com) mapped to my domain (theeclecticensemble.com) and in the MY DOMAINS page of my dashboard, recognizes theeclecticensemble.com as the primary for my new blog. BUT I still see old blog ( even after a hard refresh) Tried to delete old blog and got a message saying a confirmation code would be email. Never got the email and it is not in my spam folder. I’ve read support articles and it seems like I’m following instructions… Help please!

  My mapping is caught in a bad redirect. when I type in theeclecticensemble.com into my browser, I get redirected to eclecticensemble3.wordpress.com which is deleted. theeclecticensemble.com is designated as the primary domain for eclecticensemble2.wordpress.com. Even when I click directly on the link to eclecticensemble2.wordpress.com in my admin panel, I get redirected to eclecticensemble3.wordpress.com. Some how my stuff is stuck on that old address.

  Some how the domain I own is locked into mapping to an old blog that is deleted, technically that information and blog address (eclecticensemble3.wordpress.com) no longer exists. Even a new blog, eclecticensemble2.wordpress.com, gets redirected to the deleted blog. I have unassigned any thing from mapping with the domain I own, theeclecticensemble.com, and created a blog page saying site under construction (so people don’t see a dead site when they look for me). I can not map to my domain being that it claims a wordpress.com is already mapping to it… I feel like the support team needs to eliminate the ghost of my first blog before I can get anything done. ??

  I mapped a domain to a wordpress.com site but now I want it to be mapped to a different wordpress.com site. How do I do that?

  You can’t do this without Staff help. Post the specifics including all the URLs involved here please as I have flagged this thread for Staff assistance.

  Please some one “flag this thread” or do anything to help me get my website back up and going.
