New WP-Admin Layout Problems

My computer is too old to update my browser, which was fine for a long while. I couldn’t scroll through my dashboard or media library, resorted to categorizing and adding images from my phone (which has a better browser than my computer), but I could upload media and write posts from my computer.

With the latest redesign of the control panel and admin area, though, I can’t even do that much anymore. The left sidebar overlaps the text box, when I try to make a new entry. The improved editor directs me to a page that suggests I upgrade my browser, which I can’t afford to do. Is there any way to get at least that one part to the way it was just a few days ago?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All browser upgrades are free of charge. See here http://browsehappy.com

But it’s my hardware that’s outdated. It would take an entirely new computer in order to upgrade my browser even to the oldest browser version that WordPress accepts.

Just double-posting to add that I’d still be able to post new entries from my phone, but I’d rather find a way to the classic version of the add-post page (to use an actual keyboard with.)

Thank you Timethief for reading and replying, at least.

  • What browser are you using? Have you tried using a different browser (even if it also is older)?
