No access to administration rights due to retirement of colleagues

    I wonder if you can assist. I work for an NHS Trust. The above WordPress site was set up in around 2014 by a University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and Birmingham City Council colleagues who are long since retired and we have no contact with. The national Better Care Fund team also have no administration access or information on the site.

    The Better Care Fund information on the site is outdated and inaccurate and we desperately need to refresh the content on this page. We would like to keep the website name as it perfectly reflects what the Fund is about.

    I have copied and pasted the email trail in our investigations below to give you more detail – I am not particularly technical!

    Hi Michael,

    The call you have logged with IT&D re the wordpress website has been reviewed.

    I have been advised the website is hosted through wordpress.com and it appears it was set up independently/not via IT&D, as such, representatives from the team are unable to assist. The development team have no administration rights (or any other rights to the website).

    I understand the representative/s who set up the website will have an account with which they can administer the site, as you have indicated you have no idea who created the site/has administration rights to the site your only option may be to contact wordpress.com.

    I will now proceed to close the above call.

    Please accept my apologies that a representative from the team is unable to assist on this occasion.
