No access to blog

I’m living in Vietnam and up until a few days ago I was happily blogging about my experiences here. My friends back home tell me they can still connect to my blog and see my latest post, but I cannot access the blog myself or the blog’s admin panel. Every time I try to access it, my browser just times out. Oddly enough, I can still log into word press and see my stats, etc., but when I click on the link to my blog it just times out again. Any suggestions?

I’m not having any trouble connecting to your blog as a viewer or to your dashboard as an admin.
Could it be the internet connections you are using? Has anything changed in that regard? Moved to a new town or started using a new internet cafe or anything along those lines?

Josh, thanks for your reply. What I figured out was that the local internet authorities here have blocked local access to my blog — for what reason I’ll probably never know. So, I started using a VPN and all is fine: I can access the blog and the dashboard and submit new posts just like old times. Now I’m happily sticking it to The Man, though I’m a little perturbed that I have to use this workaround just to maintain a travel blog. Oh well, I suppose that’s the price I have to pay living in a country that still thinks it can control information in the 21st century. Thanks again for your reply and suggestions. Have a great day!
