No Blog Access
-
I just began a blog today but now I cannot find it or access it. I hit UPDATE after I uploaded a photo and word content, then tried copying/pasting the link on my facebook page to see if it would work. It didn’t, just a blank page. I also saved my password on Google Chrome but now it’s not recognizing it. I worked so hard on this! I’ve avoided doing a blog b/c I’m not a tekkie and can’t figure this stuff out. Any help is appreciated. Here’s my blog I think i created: journeysafar657520970.wordpress.com

Hi there, your blog is currently set up on a separate page from your site’s front page. https://journeysafar657520970.wordpress.com/blog/
When you publish your posts, you can automatically push them to facebook using our Publicize feature. Here’s more on that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/
Make sure you add a Featured image to each new post as that is usually the image that is picked up by facebook. More on that https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/
Your theme’s showcase page also has good information on learning to set up your site: https://wordpress.com/theme/dara
Lastly, if you are just getting set up, here are some resources that will help you find your way around WordPress.com

RE NO BLOG ACCESS… I did finally access it and make some edits.
1. Please clarify: your blog is currently set up on a separate page from your site’s front page… by “site” do you mean website? Or blog site? When I access the blog, there are 3 buttons: Home, Contact and Blog. Is the Home page the site’s front page? How do I fix this?
Thanks for the multiple resource references, I’m reading them but still a bit lost.
2. I’m ready to post my 2nd blog, can I copy/paste from a Word doc then just use the “write” button? How do I insure the most current blogpost becomes primary to the reader?
I so appreciate your input, thx! -
Hello there @eileentravel, sorry I missed your latest replies.
1. by “site” do you mean website? Or blog site? Website.
Your website front/home page is using Dara’s special home page template, which is a static page displaying text under the heading HOME (“Off we go…”). Additionally, you’ve added a featured post to your homepage https://journeysafar657520970.wordpress.com/2018/07/21/the-journey-begins/ That featured post also displays on your website’s blog page under BLOG
Is the Home page the site’s front page? How do I fix this?
Yes, it is.What do you mean by “fix”? Do you mean you want to display your blog posts on your website’s front/home page instead of the special home page template? If so, you need to do the following:
A. Open the Customizer. https://wordpress.com/customize/journeysafar657520970.wordpress.com
B. Navigate to HOMEPAGE SETTINGS in the sidebar there.
C. Change the setting under “Your homepage displays” from “A static page” to “Your latest posts” and then publish your changes.Your blog posts should now display at https://journeysafar657520970.wordpress.com instead of the special homepage template.
Let me know how that goes.
2. can I copy/paste from a Word doc then just use the “write” button? Word is notorious for adding extra code that can mess up a website. If you must write in Word rather than in Notepad or any other plain text editor, make sure you use the “Paste as Text” button in the 2nd row of the Editor toolbar.
How do I insure the most current blogpost becomes primary to the reader? I’m not sure I understand what you mean here. By default, blogs display the most recent entry first, so your latest entry will always be at the top. Did you mean something else?
Let me know if you have any other questions about this.
