No idea what this is, or how to remove it

  I was trying to figure out how to add something to the navigation, and the system deleted my 2,000-word document. Fortunately, I was able to recreate it, along with the 30+ images.

  I now have something in the pages section that has the same name as the deleted file, but I have no idea what it is or does.

  I am wondering how to delete it. I have included an image of what I am talking about, and would appreciate any help that might come my way.

  That duplicate entry with the badge next to it was automatically created when WordPress reassigned your site layout settings during your navigation edits. Because it is designated as a system page (like your designated ‘Posts Page’ or ‘Front Page’), WordPress prevents you from deleting it right away. To remove it, go to Settings > Reading in your dashboard, make sure your new recreated page is set correctly, and set the ‘Posts page’ dropdown menu to — Select —. Once you save those changes, that system badge will disappear from Pages > All Pages, and you will be able to hover over the item and click Trash to delete it cleanly!

  So I am guessing that what I did was to reassign where my new posts go to this phantom page, is that correct? I just want things back how they were, so would I change “Your homepage displays” back to “Your latest posts”?

  When I add a new Post (not Page), I want the title to be displayed on the Home Page, with the other posts.

  Yes, exactly! When you edit your navigation, WordPress can sometimes automatically switch your site layout settings to a static page configuration. To get everything back to normal, go to Settings > Reading and set ‘Your homepage displays’ back to ‘Your latest posts’. This will immediately restore your homepage to display your newest blog posts at the top, unassign that phantom page so you can safely delete it under Pages > All Pages, and ensure any new posts you create appear right on your main page!
