No one can comment on my blog?
-
I recently upgraded to where I am using a custom domain name, since that upgrade, no one is able to comment on my blog posts unless they do so anonymously. i have set and reset the discussions options and have read countless instructions how to do so. The thing is, it was working just fine before I upgraded to the domain name.

They are not getting an error per se, they are just being asked to register on wordpress, even though my settings are not set to request that. I received comments quite regularly prior to changing to my own domain name. The posts I’ve made since then will only allow anonymous comments. I changed nothing on the discussion settings until I was alerted to the problem. I then unset and reset everything the way that I had it, and still no one can comment. I appreciate (in advance) your help Mac

Hm, I’m not sure what’s happening. I was able to post at http://momgoesincircles.com/2012/09/21/the-best-time-to-buy-everything/comment-page-1/#comment-97 without logging in.
Please feel free to delete that comment.
Is that the blog you’re referring to?
If they are trying to comment with an email address that belongs to a WordPress.com account, they will be asked to log in first as an anti-impersonation measure.

Right after I answered you, I had my husband check again and he was able to comment. Well thank goodness. I do not know what gremlin attacked me, but comments were closed for three days. Ha. I appreciate your time!
