    Just to let you know you can feel free to remove my account. I am leaving WordPress permanently because of your shady practice of charging money for something that doesn’t cost you a dime. There is no reason you should charge me to redirect a domain I own and have already paid for to your site. In fact, to do this you had to invest extra effort and money to check the referrer on every request. This is greedy and an inexcusable practice that any technologically-minded person could see right through. I know you probably won’t allow this to stay a public question since it will expose your shady business tactics, but it makes me feel better. I will never return so long as practices such as these are in place at WordPress so you may as well remove my account altogether to free it up for someone else to use.

    Domain Mapping is still an additional service which we do need to charge for, and it’s only $12 per year, or $1 per month if you prefer that.

    When you weight the costs of a monthly hosting account plus the time of managing your own installation versus $12 per year to map a domain to your free blog here, it’s still not a bad deal.

    I am sorry that you disagree.
