No word editing tools on my edit function. Nada.

I no longer have any word editing tools. No fonts, no Bold, no bullets, all the usual Word tools that are normally used in writing something. I have no upload a photo button and my photo appears in the edit version at html language. I am at a loss and have abandoned this blog because I don’t understand how to recapture the simple word tools I need to compose and upload photos.

What browser and version are you using? On your profile, does it say you’ve selected to deactivate the Visual editor? Sometimes it switches itself.

Forgive me, I don’t know the answer to your questions! But I discovered if I go to the W logo for wordpress, and hit New Post I see the old template with all word-tools that I need to compose. However if I go to a blog page or post that I would like to edit, there are are no word tools. Nor are there word tools if I try to compose a new post. Only if I go to the W logo does the old template appear. I don’t see anything on the Profile section that addresses your question about the Visual editor.

If you have only the top line of tools – (paragraph formatting etc) – on the far right side there is a funny box thing – Kitchen Sink – try clicking on it to show the second line of tools

Maybe the tickbox is under Dashboard->Settings->Writing? My memory for such things is horrible.

I looked all over for a tick box of some sort that even hinted at editing tools and no luck – I sort of set these things and forget them – the problem then happens when I then set up a new blog for friends and things look all messed up and I need to wander for a long time to find the secret handshake
