  Hi,

  I am trying to add my website to the google search console, but there is an error with my main page. The “noindex” tag was detected in the “robots” metatag.

  Where exactly can I find my HTML code so I can change this tag?

  Hey there, for sites hosted by WordPress.com, you’ll want to use these steps for verifying your site with Google Search Console:

  If your site is not hosted with us, can you check in with your host? A robots.txt file shouldn’t be HTML. They can help you add one if needed. Then going forward, you’ll want to use the correct forums and resources for your WordPress installation, since it isn’t hosted here with us. We have some tips on finding help here:
