Non-Profit group wants to make mp3 available to members.
-
I volunteer with a church and would like to make mp3 files of the weekly sermon available to our members/shut-ins/guests to listen to or to download. I got started with the ‘free’ WordPress option but when I tried to upload the mp3 files it told me I needed to upgrade. Are no-profits like churches given a special rate? An what kind of an upgrade will get me the ability to post sermons?

Any advice for the most direct way to make mp3 files available via WordPress? I do not mind paying for what I need but would feel more comfortable knowing I need what I purchase. Thanks.

There are no discounts given for nonprofits. You can simply host your mp3 somewhere else like Fileden or Dropbox and hotlink it, ie copy the URL of the file there, whatever.hostingsite.mp3, and put it in the audio player. That way you can work around this.
If you want to upgrade anyway, I believe now you’ll have to buy the $99 a year bundle to get the space upgrade which is the one you need to upload mp3s directly.
