Non-renewed Domain is Alive but with Plumbing Ads and Old Content!
-
I once owned a domain on WordPress.com and after deciding not to renew it this year, someone seems to have purchased it and somehow the new site has preserved my old content, information etc but now is riddled with industrial plumbing ads. This is absolutely ridiculous. How the hell did this happen??
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I see that the about us page in particular has the same content as your old site. The new site is self-hosted, which gives me the impression that they just simply stole your content by copying and pasting it on their site. You will need to either contact the owner of the site or contact their host in regards to this issue. If you want to pursue this further, here is information on the DMCA:

This isn’t related to anything that was auto generated on our end, to be clear. I think the user simply copied your content.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Unfortunately the copied content goes beyond the About Me page (see older posts on the site). How is it not auto-generated on your end when the dates that the posts were posted coincides with when I posted them on my site? Also, the way the charts in the posts are sized, formatted and positioned align with my original posts. This would be extremely difficult to do if the new site owner simply copied the content

This is a much more common practice than you may realize, unfortunately. The owner of the site may have also quickly via the RSS feed.
They are most likely a domain squatter who is using your content as ransom to make you pay more to get your domain back. But, since you are not wanting your domain anymore, he doesn’t have any leverage.
