Not able to renew domain

    Not able to renew domain that expired 1 month ago. Trying but keep getting this message:

    Hi there,

    Is this for andthereistood.com? I see that it is back up and activated. Let me know if you are referring to a different custom domain and I’ll take a look into retrieving it for you.

    Hi there,

    No it is for annthereistood.com it expired a month ago and I would like to renew it but it seems i can’t renew on WordPress because when i click the renew button nothing happens. Please help.

    Ah, gotcha.

    So, I checked and annthereistood.com is now in a redemption period. You can still renew your domain through us, but it is now a more expensive and complicated process to do so. Our registrar charges an $80 late renewal fee in addition to the $26 we charge to renew the domain. The good news is that this is still a chance of reclaiming the domain through this option.

    Your other option is to wait until the redemption period is over so that the domain becomes available for registration again. Domains are usually in redemption for approximately 80 days, but with this option, you run
    the risk of someone else jumping in front of you to purchase the domain before you get the chance.

    Please let me know if you want to proceed with paying the late renewal fee in the attempt to reclaim the domain name. This option is also time sensitive because the domain can be auctioned off to an expired domain bidder.

    I would suggest enabling the auto-renew option so that you will not have to worry about losing control over your domain in the future.

    Hi there,

    I have contacted our registry partner in regards to retrieving your domain. I’ll let you know once I hear from them and then I’ll set up the domain under your account. I’ll make sure you that the upgrade is set for auto renew as well.

    Hi,

    Yes, I want to add it back to my andthereistood.wordpress.com account (where I purchased it), so I can access the settings, renew and manage it. It doesn’t show up as a purchased domain anywhere. Can you add it back for me for me? I will renew it and set it to auto-renew so I don’t loose it again.
