Not all posts get imported from XML

  Hello

  I’m trying to migrate a self-hosted WP instance to WP.com. Though, of about 900 posts, only 600 get imported. Can anyone help with that? I’m viewing the XML export in an editor and I clearly see that all the posts are inside the file, but for some reason, not everything appears in the new site after import.

  Hi Alex,

  I checked your site, and I see there are 364 posts in the trash. Can you try permanently deleting those posts and then running the import again?

  The importer checks for duplicates to avoid importing a post that already exists on your site, so even if the post is in the trash the importer will skip it. If that doesn’t resolve the issue for you, please let me know!
