'not allowed to upload files'
-
I created a wordpress.com account a few months ago. I was able to upload files and everything worked well. I have since become a guest blogger with another wordpress.com website. I was assigned log in information and a new user name (maybe this is the problem) was created for me. I ‘am not allowed’ to upload files when I am writing for this website. Could it be because wordpress.com thinks that I am two different people? I am trying to figure out how to change one of these usernames so that they match, but I’m not having any luck. Could this be why I am not allowed to upload files as a guest blogger on this new site?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I was assigned log in information and a new user name (maybe this is the problem) was created for me. I ‘am not allowed’ to upload files when I am writing for this website. Could it be because wordpress.com thinks that I am two different people.
A different username means it’s a separate, unrelated account. Different accounts are always unrelated, regardless of whether the same person created them. However, the ability to upload files isn’t a privilege allowed to all user of a site. It depends upon the user role assigned. See the User Roles support page.
I am trying to figure out how to change one of these usernames so that they match
You can’t change the username of one account so that it matches that of another account. You may transfer one website under account B to account A. See the Transferring a Site to Another WordPress.com Account support page. However that alone won’t resolve the user role issue.
