Not getting the first year free as displayed

    Hey, i just picked up a website domain, which stated that it’s free for first year.
    I wasn’t even sure about having a website but looking at the free offer i just felt for experimenting with it
    But on the last page it is asking for payment
    Pls clarify if it is not free for the first year?

    Correct account: Yes

    Only the domain is free for the first year not the WordPress Pro Plan itself.

    Just to clarify, the free domain for the first year is a perk of our Pro plan. If you’d like to experiment with a website, you can choose a free .wordpress.com address, skip the plan purchase and keep a free site for as long as you want. :)
