Not receiving Email Transfer Code

    Email transfer code

    Hello,
    I would like to transfer my domain. I have requested the Email Transfer code about 6 different times and am not receiving an email.
    1. I have checked the Spam Folder – Nothing received
    2. I verified and changed my email addresses in the Registrant contact etc – Still not receiving the codes
    3. I unlocked and re-locked my domain and then requested a code be resent – and still nothing.
    Please Help!

    Hi there,

    We tried again to resend you the code for your domain transfer — can you please check your email to see if that code arrived? Please let us know whether or not you get that code. If it doesn’t arrive, we’ll keep working on this for you. I apologize again for the trouble with this domain transfer.

    Hello Again,
    So I received the transfer code, now when I try to upload it to my new registrant service – I receive a error message saying: “Domain has an invalid syntax”. Is the code correct?

    Hi Phyllis,

    Please be sure that when you copy the transfer code, you don’t accidentally copy any spaces at the beginning or end of the code.

    If you’re sure you’ve copied the code exactly (without any extra spaces) and you still get that error message, can you contact your new domain registrar to ask them about it? Some domain registrars have restrictions on what characters can be included in transfer codes. If your domain’s transfer code includes characters that they don’t allow, please let us know so we can generate a new one for you.

    Hi,
    Just spoke with the technical support with the new registrant. They said they accept all characters; but they said that the “Privacy Settings” attached to my domain is not allowing the transfer and that my domain is still locked.
    Why are we having such a problem transferring my domain?

    Thanks for letting me know. We’re currently experiencing a number of issues with domain transfers and changes getting delayed, which you can read about here:

    Our developers are working on the issue, but as you can see there are still some glitches. I’ve let our developers know about that “Privacy Settings” issue on your domain so they can keep working on it for you.

    You may receive an email asking you to verify your email address for your domain. That email would look like the example on this page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-domain/#email-validation-and-verification

    If you receive that email, please go ahead and verify your email address.
