Not Receiving Password Reset Email for Admin Account
-
I was recently cleaning up my admin area of my site (hosting through GoDaddy) and they recommended I change my admin password to help prevent recurring malware infections. My pwd manager I use did not add the new password so now I’m locked out of my site because the password reset option at the login isn’t sending me a reset email to the address(es) I know are associated with my account. GoDaddy told me it’s not their problem. Only thing I can access is the CPanel.

Hi there,
The site you are referring to appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on GoDaddy Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.
To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and GoDaddy also happens to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.
However, the good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel (cPanel) through GoDaddy, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through it: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
You can ask GoDaddy support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.
Hope that points you in the right direction!
