not to be abel to downlad a file for free

  I WANT THAT USERS NOT TO DOWNLOAD A FILE FOR FREE . i want to do the following :

  Go to appearance and then MENU , i went and created a new menu i name it (my menu) . what i can not do and i want to do is go to the left and and select only my home page and and click on add to menu but i do not see my home page so i could add it to menu …. what should i do ???
