NOTIFICATION BELL

Hello, I have a problem with the notification bell, at the top right of my page ~I have a red dot on it, telling there is something I need to see. When I click on the bell it has that annoying buffering circle and nothing happens. Also when I open a link sent by someone ~I am ‘ FOLLOWING’, and get to the bottom of the posting I click on the stars which change colour for a second get a thanks but then it goes back to four and a half stars, if I want to repost the item I then have to use the shareaholic app of my pc. Can you please tell me what the problem is and how to fix it please?

This sounds like a browser issue. Please check your browser settings that you have third-party cookies enabled, and then completely clear your browser cache and cookies.
Also disable any privacy protection browser-addons, like PrivacyBadger or Ghostery – those can block certain features on WordPress.com from working. If disabling those fixes things, then you’ll have to add WordPress.com as an exception to the particular add-on.
