Notification in wordpress

  Hello, I have a private blog on wordpress. Whenever I add a new post, blog followers get email notifications. However, if I reply to their comment on the post, the said reader does not get a notification in the notification pane (bell icon). I have tick-marked every possible option. Please help

  That’s not something you control.

  If a commenter on your site isn’t receiving notifications of replies to their comments on your site, it’s a problem with their account’s notification settings or with their browser, not with your site, so they’ll need to contact us directly for help troubleshooting that.

  The problem is these readers do not not have this issue with the other blogs that they follow. So the consensus is that it’s happening because my blog has been marked private. Could that be it?

  No. That’s not it. Your reader’s need to make sure that when leaving a comment on your blog they’re subscribing to the comments of that post so that they can receive notifications when you reply to them or if someone else replies.
