Now that I have my domain mapped how do I get rid of the old wordpress url?

  I just bought my domain mapping for silkroadvisions.com and that has gone through nicely, thank you. However, to my dismay, when I am working on my dashboard, the old url http://silkroadsands.wordpress.com comes up in the address window. Also, my “Open ID” still shows as http://silkroadsands.wordpress.com. How do I actually achieve a blog whose only reference across the net is at my new domain? I don’t want to drag “silkroadsands” around with me wherever I go?

  You need to set that as your primary domain via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard, but it looks like you have already done that.
