  • Just went on to my website and found this AD promoting nudity. Is this normal???

  Hi! This is actually a known issue with WordPress.com free plans. WordPress.com displays ads on free sites to help fund the platform and unfortunately they don’t always have full control over which ads appear.

  Here’s what you can do:

  1. If you want to remove ads completely you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan. The Personal plan or higher removes all ads from your site.
  2. If you want to report this specific ad as inappropriate go to wordpress.com/help/contact and report it. WordPress.com does have advertising guidelines and nudity related ads should not be appearing — reporting it helps them filter it out.
  3. You can also use the WordAds program settings if you have access to provide feedback on inappropriate ads.

  To summarize — ads on free WordPress.com sites are normal but nudity promoting ads are not appropriate and should be reported directly to WordPress.com support so they can remove that specific ad from their network.
