I have an old account that I can’t remember the email address for and can’t reset my password for. Is there a way to verify that I’m the person in the photo used and regain access to my old account so that I may update the info for it?

I understand it’s frustrating when you have a photo on the account that clearly shows it’s you, but for security reasons, WordPress.com doesn’t use photo IDs to verify account ownership. Since photos can be easily copied or found online, they aren’t considered ‘technical proof’ like a password or an email link. Your best chance is to use the Account Recovery Form and provide as much ‘behind-the-scenes’ info as possible—like the approximate date you started the site, any old transaction IDs from past purchases, or even the IP address you used to log in back then. If you can provide a receipt for a domain or plan, a staff member can manually update the email address for you, which is usually the only way back into an account once the login details are lost!
