Old Blog Posts
-
Hello, I used to have a blog but wasn’t using it anymore, so I let subscriptions expire etc. There is a blog post though that I would like the pictures from. Is there a way I can access it still? I don’t have the domain name or blue host account anymore though. I see the blog on my list of ‘visible’ blogs but can’t seem to access it from inside wordpress or when googling. thank you.

Hi there,
What is the URL of your site so we can take a closer look? I do not see any sites hosted here on WordPress.com when I check under your account. Is your site hosted with another provider in this case?
Thanks for the additional info!

Thank you for the help! It was a wordpress site hosted by Blue host. Is that what you mean? domain name was http://www.farmrootsurbanwings.com. I see it listed when I click on “Manage Blogs” – but that not mean much! ?
P.S. I would like to go ahead and apologize for my ignorance with this! Lol. And thank you again for your help!

To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org and they are two different entities.
We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
You can find more details about WordPress.com and WordPress.org on this support page:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
That said, your site, hosted on Bluehost, was using the WordPress.org version, and thus we won’t be able to help.
You still see it in your WordPress.com account because it was connected with a plugin called Jetpack. To recover anything from that site, you’ll want to contact Bluehost’s support team directly.
I hope that helps :).
