Old (default) header image appearing below new one
-
Anyone know how I can get rid of this?
I’ve just started a new blog and now have my new header image sitting very happily at the top of the blog, and below that is the name of my blog, but below the name of the blog it shows the old, default image, with ‘Welcome to My New Local Blog’ written across it. It’s also a totally unsuitable image. I’ve removed it from the Media library, but it still appears there.
How can I get rid of it, please?

Please ignore the last line. I didn’t write it and it’s not the name of the blog I need help with.
The blog I need help with is currently private and it needs to stay that way for the time being.

Hi there,
It’s impossible for us to help you if you don’t tell us what site you need help with. Telling us the URL here does not change anything regarding the privacy settings of the site.
Assuming you’re speaking of the other site in the account, I don’t see any other images appearing on the front page aside from the header image at the top. I do see a big black box behind the text “Welcome to My New Local Blog”, and that is coming from the Cover block added to the top of your site’s front page. Edit the page at My Site ->Site ->Pages, and you’ll be able to remove that block, or modify its contents.

Thank you, kokkieh! I hadn’t realised that a member of staff would respond (I thought that the forum was just for users to help each other), and I’m very grateful for your response.
Yes, that is the site I’m referring to. When I looked at it last night I there was a photo of mountains and that has now disappeared and there’s just the black box that you mention. Thank you for pointing me at where to remove it.
At Site ->Pages there’s a list of my website’s pages (I’ve imported .xml from a WordPress dot com site) and one of them is Home. There wasn’t such a page at the previous site, so I clicked on that page to edit it. There doesn’t seem to be anything there for specific removal of the block; if I simply delete the page, will that do it without it affecting the site in any other way?
