Old WordPress Account

  Hello Team,

  I have currently taken over doing a website for a client who recently had some work done by a guy that is no longer contactable.

  Basically I want to add the domain currently associated with the WordPress website onto another website platform.

  I own the domain, and have it within my own accounts but I cannot update the new website without the old one being deleted.

  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as this domain has to stay, all the emails are run through this so choosing another one wouldn’t be an option.

  Please let me know how we can get this resolved,

  Thanks for the additional info. After a closer look it seems that The site 5starglass.com.au appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on Digital Pacific Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.

  To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and Digital Pacific also happens to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.

  You may wish to contact your host’s support team for more assistance with update the new website without the old one being deleted.

  Hey Team,

  Again thank you for the reply’s.

  I have finally gained access to the WordPress site, now I just need to delete this, or remove the domain,

  Can’t seem to find an easy way to do this.

  Also the domain is the only thing through digital pacific, I’m not sure what server this original site is on.

  I just need to remove the WordPress one with domain so I can upload new site under same domain?

  Hi Sam,

  The domain seems to be pointing to Wix, so maybe you’ll need to get in touch with them.

  As staff-totoro mentioned above, we’re not able to help with sites that are not hosted on our servers.
