old WP site domain expired, trying to restart but it shows under ‘Linked Blogs’ instead of ‘My Blogs’
-
I had created a WordPress blog several years ago, but I let the domain name lapse. I’ve just now paid for the same domain name at GoDaddy again, but when I login to WP and click on ‘Manage Blogs,’ the site is not listed under ‘My Blogs’ but under ‘Linked Blogs,’ and I cannot seem to manage it.
Does anyone know what this means? Is the previous content lost and so I should recreate the blog again from scratch? Or do I need to perform another step to be able to manage it?
Any help appreciated. Thank you!

We have no record of that domain ever being registered or hosted here, so it would have been a self-hosted WordPress site running the software from https://wordpress.org
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
Self-hosted WordPress.org sites are fully self-contained, and since that site also was not covered by our backup product https://jetpack.com/upgrade/backup/ your only option would be to contact your former hosting provider to ask if they still have a backup your account with them (and therefore the old site too).
As far as I can tell, the site was originally hosted with GoDaddy, and you can reach their support at https://www.godaddy.com/help
