Only 5 posts listed?

Hi – new to WP. I noticed that only 5 of my posts are listed on the main page. There seems to be no way to find all of the other posts beyond those 5. How do I fix?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t know why this second line was automatically added my support question: “the blog I need help with is workmansong.wordpress.com” — that is not true. I am seeking help for a different blog! seansmcmahon.wordpress.com

  • Hi there,

To which page on the site are you referring?

On your front page I can see a Latest Posts block. That block is intended to just list your most recent posts on a static page on the site. It’s not intended to be a listing of all posts on your site, and setting it to 100 posts as you currently have is not a great idea – as you start to reach that number of posts on your site, all that links loading on the front page is going to make the site incredibly slow, and can even prevent it from loading at all for some visitors.

If you want a static front page on your site like you have at the moment, I recommend you use the Blog Posts block on that page to show your most recent posts instead, no more than a handful:

    Blog Posts Block

And then set up a separate page on the site that you can designate as the posts page. That page will then display your most recent posts, with a button at the bottom to load more posts that people can use to reach your older posts.
