  I don’t want to pay anything. I don’t want to create a blog or anything. I simply want to access a blog of a friend of mine. Help!!

  What’s preventing you from looking? Is your friend’s site private?

  Access to administrative areas of a blog
  You want “access” to a blog? You mean access to the administrative areas of the blog? In order for this to happen your friend must invite you to be participate in the blog under one of the contributing user roles (Contributor, Editor or Author), as described in the support page “Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers.”

  Access to merely view a private blog
  Ask your friend to read the “Invite People to View Your Private Blog” section of the “Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers” support page, and then take the appropriate action.
